Dr. Sulaiman Wasty

Based in Washington, D.C., Dr. Sulaiman Wasty is the CEO of Sharakpur, Ltd, a financial consultancy. His career began at the Planning Commission of Pakistan when he was a special assistant to the Minister for Finance, and Planning and Development. He previously worked for the World Bank (Independent Evaluation, and Quality Assurance) and served as a managing director and acting CEO of G. William Miller Financial Integrity Services, LLC. Sulaiman has held guest lecturer positions at Princeton’s Woodrow Wilson School, George Mason’s OLLI, the John Hopkins University SAIS, and Cornell-in-Washington Program. He has published extensively about financial institutions in the GCC. Dr. Wasty received his PhD in analysis and functional analysis, economic development from Cornell University.
