Enrica Fei is a PhD fellow at the Bundeswehr University of Munich. Her research interests include transnational Shi’a networks, communal mobilization, identity-based conflicts, nationalism, and nation-building in the Persian Gulf. Ms. Fei is fluent in Arabic, English, French, and Italian. Previously, she worked for the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies (IAIS) of the University of Exeter, where she lectured on modern Arab history. Ms. Fei earned her MA in International Relations from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, in addition to an MA in Euro-Mediterranean relations jointly from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Ca’ Foscari and Moulay Ismail University of Meknes, and a BA in Arabic and French Language and Literature from the University of Florence.
